Mountain Dew’s Halo 3 Game Fuel

by Margie

halo3md.JPG

Mountain Dew’s Game Fuel is designed to promote the release of Halo 3, and is infused with cherry flavor and extra caffeine for late-night gamers. The caffeine content is so high it is causing concern, as it apparently tops the caffeine in Red Bull and reviews indicate that has not helped the taste. The packaging looks great, though.

Game Fuel is making product history by claiming to be the first beverage co-branded with a video game, and Halo3 is making history by picking up more pre-orders than any other video game to date. The game does not come out until September 25th, but the drink arrived in stores August 13th and will be available for 12 weeks … more than enough time for gamers to stock up the fuel they need to stay up and make General.

I would not drink that stuff, as I have never liked the taste of Mountain Dew, but I am honestly considering buying some just for the cool looking design. I am also not even a Halo fan, although I do love video games.
