Mount Gay Rum’s Tricentennial

by

The world’s oldest rum company celebrated its 300th anniversary with a limited edition Tricentennial rum that won rave reviews from rum experts.

While it has been a few years since Mount Gay’s actual anniversary year, the spirit can still be found in some high end liquor stores.

If you find it and you can afford it RnDrumreviews.com says you should not hesitate to buy it, calling the Tricentennial the beverage that “defines the scale by which all other rums should be judged.”

Mount Gay Tricentennial is the most exclusive limited edition rum we have ever tasted. Never ones to allow a new rum discovery to pass us by, RnD stepped into an upscale booze shop in the Caribbean, not expecting to find anything but the usual rums so popular in the central Caribbean. We blinked when we found bottle #842 of Mount Gay Tricentennial, released four years ago and one of only 3000 produced. Our jaws went slack when we looked at the price. We were Sticker Shocked, but in a good way. Only $220 for the finest rum sold by Mount Gay, liquid history in a beautiful decanter packaged inside a leather-like bound box. Truly a beautiful site! We were stunned.

If you can’t find a bottle, you can taste this legendary beverage for $75 at RumBa in Boston or buy a shot glass sized serving for $130 at Philadelphia’s Rum Bar.
