About Margie Alsbrook
Margie Alsbrook was the founding editor-in-chief of The Journal of Food Law & Policy, an international law journal that is subscribed to by numerous food safety agencies around the world as well as corporations and industry trade groups. She also coauthored the first United States Food Law Update, an article that appeared in the first issue of the Journal and was distributed to all members of the United States Congress.
Margie concluded her tenure as a research attorney for the National Agricultural Law Center in 2006, and will hold an LL.M. (masters of law) in food and agriculture law as soon as she finishes that pesky thesis. In the meantime she practices law in Northwest Arkansas, aka Wal-Mart & Tyson country, where many of nation’s more aggressive food marketers live, work, and play.
