Limited Edition Vermont Organic Maple Liqueur
Green Mountain Distillers is marketing a limited edition Vermont Organic Maple Liqueur as an after-dinner drink. The liqueur is made of pure Vermont maple syrup and an organic liqueur that will be the basis for future Vermont Organic liqueur products from the company.
The company also advises using the unique liqueur in a variety of fall-themed dishes including ham glazes, BBQ sauces, martinis, creme brulee glazes … or simply adding it to coffee, apple cider, a Manhattan or an Old Fashioned. The blog Martini Lounge created a new recipe in honor of the liqueur called The French Toast.
Consumers who are interested in purchasing the product should be advised that it is only available in Vermont. Also, it is limited edition in the old-fashioned sense: every bottle is hand-filled, hand-numbered, and signed by someone at Green Mountain Distillers.

Man, this would make a really good glaze for a ham. I usually put 1 cup of Glenfidich in with about 3 cups of pure organic maple syrup into a saucepan and cook the alcohol out of it, but leave the added bite in it. I coat the ham with dark brown sugar, pour this over it gently, then put on my dark brown sugar. Cove that with foil and pop it in the oven till it’s done. YUMM.
