Limited Edition Junior Mints Inside Outs

by

Yesterday at Target I found Limited Edition Junior Mint Inside Outs in the holiday candy section. I have heard about these before and I think they originally came out as limited editions over 3 years ago. I am assuming this is a rerelease of the limited edition Junior Mints and perhaps they are a holiday/seasonal type limited edition release.

They were only $0.99 for a box, so I bought some to try. Honestly, I cannot even remember ever trying the original Junior Mints, so I cannot compare them as being better, worse, or just as good as the original. I have, however, read some reviews that tend to say the original is better, although a few also like these just as much. It does not seem too many like these better than the originals.

The box describes them as dark chocolatey mints in a smooth white coating. The outside is definitely smooth and it really is just a coating, as it is pretty thin. I accidentally pinched one when grabbing it out of the box and that was a mess because the inside is very creamy. These Inside Out Junior Mints are definitely mint flavored, but the whole chocolatey part is not all that great. It seems the mint flavor majorly overpowers any existing chocolate flavor. By the way it really seems to be chocolate flavor and I do think it is actually chocolate at all and it is especially not dark chocolate or even dark chocolatey flavor or at least I cannot taste it as being that because of the mint flavor. Overall they are not bad and I will eventually finish the box, but I doubt I would buy them again.
